The Herd


Most of the people I've gotten to know left today.  I still have a week to go and will need to find new dinner conversation.  Start from scratch. Maybe I'll ring the blade of my knife against my wine glass and ask if there are any men, amongst the new arrivals, with a moose tattoo.

    Hope not. I think my dreams are telling me to think outside that "must love poetry and read the New Yorker box." Don't worry...I've already ditched one on-line guy who's voting for McCain and he actually did read the New Yorker. Go figure.

It's a weird way to have a conversation. But go ahead. Then I'll find your blog (if you have one) and comment about something there. We probably won't be talking about the same thing--but I've had conversations like that, haven't you?
