Another Essay Published

Today is the release date for the anthology Saying Goodbye. I have an essay in it called "Holding Him Softly"--it's about handing my son over to the adoption agency when I was 17 and he was was just a few days old.

The book is a satisfying mix of sad and funny.  It would be a great gift for someone who is moving, retiring, graduating, grieving--saying goodbye to people, places, or things.

    Congratulations on your continued success! I remember how I first found you through Literary Mama and a story you wrote about your son several years ago. I remember being so moved that I wanted to read more. You never disappoint.

It's a weird way to have a conversation. But go ahead. Then I'll find your blog (if you have one) and comment about something there. We probably won't be talking about the same thing--but I've had conversations like that, haven't you?
