It is Dragon Fruit or Pitahaya. Google has informed me that there are three varieties. Pink--as seen above, and white, and yellow. The texture is divine--like ice cream. Seedy like a kiwi but not so astringent. Mildly sweet. Subtle.
The flowers are looking so beautiful and nice that you have shown in the picture. The presentation of it is also simple but very impressive. I have seen this type of presentation of little bit huge flowers in one Indian weddings.

it is like a blander version of prickly pear (which is wonderfully sweet and juicy)...
the same way rambutan is a blander, more exotic version of litchi.
the first time i saw cut dragon fruit, i thought it was some kind of sushi:)
(because it was white and back spotted...)
